Arrival/ Dismissal
Daniel E. Morgan is a family friendly school culture where everyone is welcomed. To ensure the safety of our staft, students and community we have developed the following arrival and dismissal procedures:
Arrival Procedures
- All students and staff must enter through the main entrance.
- Students who are eating breakfast will be admitted into the building at 7:10 A.M.
- Students are asked to line up using the 6 feet markers on the ground and enter through the identified door.
- Supervision will be provided in the front of the building beginning at 7:10A.M
- Students must remain socially distant (remain 6ft. apart) as well as wear a mask.
- With masks on, all students will enter the building, have their temperature checked, go through the metal detector and sanitize their hands prior to getting breakfast.
- Students who are not eating breakfast should not report to the building until 7:30A.M.
- Scholars who arrive after 7:35AM must sign in at the desk.
Dismissal Procedures
- School dismisses at 2:00.P.M. Scholars must be picked up on time.
- All scholars will be dismissed from the East side of the building (the 88th Street door) at 2:00.PM.
- All day care providers must pick up their scholars no later than 2:00 P.M.
- All scholars are expected to leave the school grounds immediately upon dismissal.
- The educational time we have with our scholars is valuable and very important. Therefore, we will not release students prior to dismissal without an official notice from a doctor or notice of other emergency situations.
