The Cleveland Metropolitan School District will be administering the SAT School Day test to all Juniors and students graduating in cohort 2027 from March 2-6, 2026. The SAT test is a globally recognized test that is accepted at all U.S. colleges and measures reading, writing, and math skills that students are learning in high school. It allows students to demonstrate the knowledge needed to succeed in college and careers. Testing begins Monday, March 2nd. Schools will communicate the exact start date of the administration within the window of March 2-6. Morgan unveiled bold recommendations through the Building Brighter Futures (BBF) initiative to the Board of Education on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The goal of this strategic plan is to right-size the district, advance equity, and ensure financial sustainability.

This year’s honorees were surprised on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, by an impressive entourage, made up of CMSD CEO Dr. Warren Morgan, Shari Obrenski, the head of the Cleveland Teachers’ Union, and representatives from the George Gund Foundation and the Cleveland Foundation.
